Eamonn Fitzmaurice

Eamonn enhances The 74's daily journalism and special projects with creative designs, illustrations and data visualizations and maintains the website.

Eamonn hails from Winona, Minnesota. He started his journalism career as a roving television photographer at WDIO News in Duluth, Minnesota. Later he worked as a graphic designer for a number of alt-weekly newspapers in the state. He moved to New York City in 2001 where he became an avid printmaker of artwork and posters. For the past 10 years he has worked extensively with cartography and information graphics. Eamonn was part of the development team that built and maintained an early iteration of The 74’s website; he also helped design and then built the current site, which launched in 2022.
